Mr. Pradip Ranjan Dasgupta was basically an engineer, educationist and an ideal teacher through out his life. He started teaching from his student life. He took birth at Jhalokathi of Barishal District of present Bangladesh in 1938. At the age of 4 years he came to Asansol with his father Late N.C. Dasgupta and mother Late Shanti Devi Dasgupta in the year of 1942 when our mother land was under the damned British rule. In his childhood he had to face huge adverse situations to get proper education. At the age of 8 he was able to get admitted in Manik Chand Thakur Institute of Hirapur, at Burnpur, Asansol , West Bengal. Later he studied higher secondary with science and graduation from Asansol College present B.B. Collage, Asansol. He did his Master’s from Burdwan University. He joined Burn Standard Co. Ltd. as a technical officer. Beside his service life he continued teaching the needy and poor children. In 1964 he got married to Late. Sikha Dasgupta of Kalyani, 24 Parganas of Kolkata. He was basically a very soft and kind hearted person. A huge number of people got him beside them at their need. He was a great patriot. Throughout his life he taught patriotism beside the formal education. Behind the foundation of this institution he had main idea to eradicate illiteracy from the society and to extend his helping hand to the poor and needy students of the society. He founded this institution on 1 St Dec 2005 with one and only teacher Miss. Saroja Singh. On the inaugural  day the first student Master Nirmal Hari took admission. Then came Master Sourav Roy and Sagnik Das. At present Sourav and Nirmal are successful engineers the proud of our school. But today Mr. P.R. Dasgupta is not with us. He left us for ever on 10th Feb 2017 and started his spiritual journey.
